How to use Facebook's built-in tools to spy on your competitors.
Facebook Ad Library
The most popular, free way, of spying of your competitors ads is through a Facebook tool called Facebook Ad Library. Facebook Ad Library was created as part of Facebook’s Transparency efforts which was implement during the elections.
This tool gives you a behind the scenes peek at what any companies Facebook Ads look like. Here’s how use it:
Go to your competitors page
Scroll down and on the left hand side look for a section called “Page Transparency”
Click the “See All” button in the top right
Scroll to the bottom of the window and look for the button labeled “Go To Ad Library”
Bada bing! There’s all their ads.

Note: You can also just go directly to the app and search the brands’ name. Warning: I found the search to be below average at best.
Bonus
Use the “filters” button to look date ranges, impressions, media type, active vs inactive, and much more.
